“How much did your camera cost?”

“It’s a cheap DSLR, but it still cost a few hundred pounds.”

“Why do your photos look like they were taken on a shitty disposable then?”

“I need help with this maths test I have to do to get this internship and I don’t even know what half the questions are even asking me.”

“Lana and I are both maths tutors.”

“It’s strange maths though. I never came across anything like it when I was working in the bank.”

“How much did your camera cost?”

“It’s a cheap DSLR, but it still cost a few hundred pounds.”

“Why do your photos look like they were taken on a shitty disposable then?”

“Because I edit them like that.”

“Why?”

“It’s a cosy sort of look.”

“Why not just buy a disposal camera?”

“I spent all my money on this camera.”

“Why don’t you guys just do the test for me? I know someone who got their sister to do their test for a job at the Home Office and they’re doing fine.”

    • His house is full of quirky things like that- a hand painted bath, a giant Pixar lamp, an old diner-style corner sofa.. I’m terribly jealous!

  1. If you are into old school look, have a look on the VSCO film presets if you have not already.
I especially like the Fuji profiles – they make the Nikon’s notoriously ugly green and weird yellow to something really brilliant.

    • Someone else recommended that to me actually.. but I’m currently editing all of my photos with free opensource software (Lightzone and GIMP) so I suppose I’ll have to learn it the hard way.

The VSCO presets really can make photographs beautiful though. Maybe one day.

  2. I really enjoyed this! Love your photos of the super cute house and reading notes from your convo’s. I laughed out loud reading about your friend’s photo comment. Photography trends are funny sometimes, but I love the cosy/antique feel as well 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my blog! Cheers to travel.
